Unseen Worlds — New Dimensions is the first in a series of national touring exhibitions that reveal the unseen worlds of science and technology.

Scientists routinely observe and create amazing images during the course of their everyday research work, but these often remain unseen and hidden away in laboratories. The dimensions and environments in which researchers operate are also 'unseen' subject matter can be microscopic and only visible through the use of complex technology, or located in challenging and extreme conditions.

This exhibition reveals and celebrates unseen worlds emerging from NIWA (National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research), GNS (Geological & Nuclear Sciences) and the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research. The 40 large-format photographs range from migrating cells within the human body through to deep-sea marine species, delicate internal structures within micro-fossils to beautiful structural patterns within stressed ice in Antarctica.

Look out for this inspiring exhibition coming to your region, and for future exhibitions under the Unseen Worlds brand.
